This appointment should be good news.

Acklands spent the last 4 or so years cobbling together a large number of acquisitions and then they flogged the whole works for a killing. Assuming Turple was key in this, he should be very well suited to put in place the proper controls to ensure the company benefits from the acquisitions rather then just benefiting the stock price aka Pallett Pallett.

Federal Industries was, or is, a far flung operation as well so this ability to consolidate looks like it bagged him the job.
