***5/18/98 - Handleman(HDL .N) buys stake in "Itsy Bitsy"
TROY, Mich., May 18 (Reuters) - Handleman Co. said Monday its North Coast Entertainment agreed to buy a 75 percent stake in The Iitsy bitsy Entertainment Co., an entertainment marketing firm. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Itsy has exclusive rights to children's properties including Teletubbies, Tots TV, Noddy and Miss Spider.
NEW YORK (May 27) ENTERTAINMENT WIRE -May 27, 1998--Just over one week after the introduction of Hasbro's talking Teletubbies toys, key retailers are proclaiming a tremendous success.
