I gave the San Jose joint a Peter Lynch look and was very disappointed to see nothing but a Boston Chicken rip off. People are tired of this concept-witness Boston Chickens near bankruptcy. The flow of traffic was low and the prices were over $5 for lunch- Beyond my cheapskate price point. I think both Koo Koo and BOST are just fads and won't make it. Fresh Choice and the Sizzler were fad type concepts and they have died. One "fad" currently on the upswing is Star Bucks. They are expanding like crazy and making 30% profit increases every qtr yr/yr. That's where I am putting my money- both investment and coffee money.
