CDKnet, LLC (the "Company") is a software development and production company, based in New York City, that licenses its proprietary programming technologies for use in multiple industries interested in the enhanced integration of sound, video, graphics and text. One of the Company's proprietary software technologies, called "CDK (TM) PATENT PENDING," is capable of delivering a full album (e.g. 50-60 minutes) of high-quality stereo audio and 20-30 minutes of TV-quality, full-screen video on a single CD that can be used in either a computer's CD-ROM drive or an audio CD player. Enhancing the functionality of the CD is a web browser leading users directly to Metrotainment, the Company's Web site.
Underlying the Company's CDK technology is an engineering process which enables the integration of audio and video materials onto a "gold master" in about one day, from which CDs are replicated, in about one day at very low costs. As a result, the significant reduction in production time driven by the Company's advanced engineering processes, the Company offers its products at a lower cost with significant marketing and technical advantages vis-a-vis its competitors. The Intel Corporation announced the CDK technology at Intel's New York Music Festival in the Summer of 1997. CDK technology was developed to be compatible with Intel architecture and the Microsoft operating system. The Company has another proprietary software technology, "PC Game Player," that enhances the manipulation and integration of video, sound and text onto standard 3.5" diskettes, CD-ROM or World Wide Web formats. On a standard 3.5" diskette, PC Game Player is capable of delivering up to 30 seconds of video (e.g. a full television commercial) as well as interactive games and screen saver functions web siteaccess and coupon printing. This technology has the capability of changing the online advertising paradigm by making available 15 and 30 second TV spots to advertisers on the Web. Through downloadable files created using the Game Player software format, consumer marketeers have the new capability of re-purposing high-end video material originally produced for a television audience into value-added Web advertising!
Game Player software technology offers the advertising market a new way of sending and distributing its television commercials over multimedia and Web format technologies. Both PC Game Player and CDK support products that can be used on most Windows-based personal computers.
CDKnet technologies and products have broad application in the music, film, broadcast, advertising and promotion industries. CDKnet technology is already being used by such leading entertainment and technology companies as MCI, Sony, Capitol-EMI Entertainment Properties, MTV Networks, The New York Yankees, RCA Records, HBO, and a host of other music labels and customers. The Company is also engaged in discussions with major film studios, recording labels, and broadcast networks, as well as Internet access providers to license content, its technology and establish distribution agreements.
