Who are you calling an idiom?

People used to call me illiterate but my parents
were married 6 months after I was born. That makes
me litterate. Once a policeman was even going to
charge me for alliterating the hiway. But I explained
to him that if he was litterate he would have seen
that the pop bottle said "recyclable, Return for
deposit". So I returned it to nature and deposited it
in the grass. They should make the cars recyclable too
so we can just leave them on the margin instead of
fixing them.
