I finally picked up a copy on the newstands and it is a very moving article.
It is about vaccine "SAFETY", SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY.
"HOW TO KEEP YOUR CHILD SAFE"
This is what every one of the Wall Street analyst that follow NVX have been saying is what the new DTaP vaccines are all about.
North American Vaccine from the very beginning set out to develope the safest DTaP vaccine possible and they achieved it. None of there studies have shown any "severe side effects" . This includes the follow up data of some 90,0000 doses administered in Sweden.
The other manufacturers DTaP vaccine trials have not been so successful.They all have shown less severe side effects when compared to the present whole cell DTP vaccines but the data that follows does say that a parent should follow the instructions in the Money Magazine article and "BE INFORMED" Ask to see government "benefit/risk information"
The following clinical trial data was presented to the FDA Vaccine Advisory Commirttee on October 25, 1995.
Connaught: Collapse 29 , Hospitalized 7, Convulsions 4,
Chiron Biocine: Collapse 16, Hospitalized 6, Convulsions 2,
SmithKline: Collapse 22, Hospitalized 7, Convulsions 6,
I will emphasize that North American Vaccine has not experienced any of the above severe side effects.
Now to POLIO. Once again North American Vaccines mission was to develope a SAFER method to protect our children from Polio and to overcome the only real objection to using IPV. Trama of injection.
That is what DTaP-IPV is all about.
