Apple Hopes iMac Will Woo Game Developers Back

In the Mac-heads-just-wanna-have-fun department, Apple execs pitched the new iMac machine to game developers during last week's E3 gaming confab in Atlanta. They will do the same at the Macworld Expo in July. Steve Jobs wants to bundle games with the new consumer machine, due out in August. Goal is to turn around the current situation, which has the best new games coming out on PCs months before they show up on Macs -- if they do at all. One positive sign: GTE Interactive Software, a major reseller of Mac software, reports sales of Apple consumer software more than doubled in Q1. Click for full story.
