Because I would rather invest on real market potential than amazement. In the 1980's, many first-time home buyers thought property values could never stop going up. I never bought a home when I achieved the income level necessary to do it (early 1990's), because I couldn't see the asset appreciating.

PC growth may not be endless and constant; and the kind of PC's most will buy as well as the leading vendor could change.

Even Gates is trying to convince people that MSFT could be a market follower instead of the leader in 5 - 10 years.

The only constant in technology is change. I would want to see some real evidence that DELL will lead the pack for the next few years (not just quarters) before I went long at these prices.

Let's agree that DELL's prospects are open to question. If you keep making a mint on them long, congratulations.
