There is a reason the Yen is weak. Fundamental economic problems. Doesn't necessarily translate into an aquisition.
I would really wonder if the culture would allow a Chinese company to purchase a Japanese one. I don't know if that happens or not. Of course I am speculating out of pure ignorance. Anyone know of this kind of relationship happening in the past?
I would be more willing to bet on Nam Tai continuing to expand in China and Hong Kong. Maybe some of the more developing countries like Malaysia where they have stronger cultural ties. I would even bet on South America before Japan.
