There were big volume buys in several stocks last week, and it had all the earmarks of fund buying. The low volume selling and shorting this morning doesn't really bother me too much (except for the fact that I feel poorer). The funds are content to let the price drop before they scoop up more shares.

I don't know if we rally into the close, but the past few days we have had this pattern where the buyers hold off during the early hours and let the price drop so that they can get as many cheap shares as possible.

I sure hope I'm reading this right, or it's going to be a long year.
