C-PHONE DELIVERS NEW TV SET-TOP INTERNET ACCESS DEVICE

for DoD Health Affairs Disease Management Telemedicine Trial

Strategic Monitored Services Selects C-Phone ITV

for DoD Web-Enabled clinical Information

WILMINGTON, N.C., June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- C-Phone Corporation (Nasdaq: CFON), which
markets TV-based video communication products and an Internet access device,
announced today that Strategic Monitored Services, Inc. (SMS) has selected and ordered
C-Phone's new ITV TV set-top Internet access device in a disease-management initiative
co-sponsored by the United States Department of Defense (DoD) Health Affairs.

SMS, which ordered C-Phone's H.324 video phones in March for the same project, will
oversee the installation of the ITV unit to provide an Internet connection to support the
Web-enabled information systems specified as a part of the disease-management pilot. The
company's video phone and Internet products will be installed in the residence of each of
the DoD's military beneficiaries participating in the pilot who require home healthcare to
manage their Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The equipment will also be
implemented in SMS's business offices, data center, medical call center and in DoD
locations. SMS has taken delivery of the ITV units and is required to have them in place by
the end of July.

Daniel Flohr, chairman of C-Phone, said, "This order is another affirmation that C-Phone
stands as a leading supplier of TV-based communications products available today. There
are many specialized applications for our TV-based ITV and H.324 devices, and we see
partners wanting to work with us to explore the many innovative ways in which our
technologies can solve a variety of communication needs. The potential for these devices to
save money, increase access to information and improve service, security and
communication has barely been tapped. We are very excited to be leading the way in these
technologies."

Strategic Monitored Services' CEO, Gregory Muth, discussing why he chose C-Phone's
technology for this project said, "ITV fulfills the mandate to allow us to supply patients with
useful disease-management information via E-mail and the Internet and will enable patients
to supply us with information vital to their treatment, such as their blood pressure, pulse
and stethoscope information. In addition, the unique features of C-Phone's system really
make sense to us for this application. ITV doesn't require that we go through any specific
Internet Service Provider, which means that we can shop around for the best connection
and act as the default host for all of our needs. C-Phone ITV is provided with an
individualized 'Smartcard,' so the device receives accurate configuration information without
requiring a specially trained installer.

"We believe that the combination of C-Phone's ITV and H.324 video phone and the SMS
management program will provide a winning and cost-effective home telemedicine solution.
It will both serve as a means to substantially reduce medical costs for these patients while
providing personalized, high-quality home healthcare."

products and an Internet access device. Its TV set-top devices rely on standard television and phone connections to deliver, video, voice and data. Certain matters described in this
press release are forward-looking statements and are subject to risks and uncertainties that
could cause actual results to differ materially from those projected.
