LongonDell, we should not lose sight that Merced is intended for the Server and Workstation computers. It's not going to enter the home/office pc market for many years. This chip is estimated to sell for $1.500. So, I guess the pc manufactures will continue to ship Pentium chips till the Merced is available. (They could use the Dec's Alpha chip....but, I don't see this happening.) I think the continuing sell-off in Dell is related to their missing the whisper number. Analysts are concerned, so we have a sell-off. Of course, the Intel announcement is dragging down the tech sector...including Dell. Stock Bull
