Venkie, Paine Webber Tech Conference kicks off tomorrow with Tom Meredith from DELL presenting. This from Street.Com., "The conference gets off to a fast start Tuesday when three tech titans give presentations. On Tuesday morning Dell Computer (DELL:Nasdaq), Microsoft (MSFT:Nasdaq) and Gateway (GTW:NYSE) will be presenting. Both box makers have just worked out deals with Mister Softee to provide more Internet-viewing options on their main pages in recent weeks and it will be interesting to see what Gateway CEO Ted Waitt has to say about his new flexible-pricing plan for consumers. Also, Dell chief financial officer Tom Meredith will have to try to explain to a skeptical audience how his company will keep gross margins level when PC average selling prices are falling like a rock."
