and name the country whose legal system you would change our system to...

For that I would have to study other systems. BUT I dont think we need to follow others when we can lead. And here are the changes I would like to see.

1. It should be a co-operative system as opposed to an adversarial system designed to solve problems not prolong them.

2. There should be more arbitration to reduce time and expense. This is being presently encouraged and even pushed by judges who have a huge workload. very positive.

3. People should be able to represent themselves and receive co-operation from both the judge and the other attorney to resolve the conflict rather than to be bogged down in code and forced to comply with each of millions of various governtment codes and court rules.

4. It should be more common sense than who can manipulate the code in their favor.

I am sure others can come up with more changes. The idea is that justice system is required to resolve conflicts but its still non-prodcutive. So lets not make it our lifes work.
