>> Is it possible to make DF-144 from Hemp

I think it must be possible considering some of the messages
flying around here!

The question really is: can you make ethanol from hemp? ...
I'm guessing yes ... because ethanol is made as the principal
by-product when certain strains of yeast metabolize starches.
Based on what I know about yeasts in general, a specific strain
with be more efficient at metabolizing specific starch substrate.
Their is lots of activity in engineering yeasts and bacteria than
feed on specific target materials. One can imagine a bio-lab
designing a yeast that fed really well on hemp... or hemp seeds...
or the seeds of whatever bio-mass one had in mind!

DF-144 is made using ethanol as one of the principal feedstock
components ... ethanol + some other "secret" stuff (see patents)
are feed through the DF-144 machine (see patents) and out comes
a version of ethanol with a higher octane blend value than what
went in. I rather suspect than the DF-144 process doesn't give
a hoot about where the ethanol came from ... it just wants to see
that good ole' C-C-O-H.
