There are others, but the facilities were lacking as far as meeting space and a cozy bar. Holiday Inn Select on Loop 410 1-800-445-8475 (not to be confused with a nearby Holiday Inn Express) Rate for Single or Double $89.95 plus applicable taxes Meeting room set up classrooom style for Saturday $100.00 Doubletree Hotel on Loop 410 1-800-535-1980 (not to be confused with a nearby Doubletree-Club Hotel) Rate for Single or Double $92 plus applicable taxes Meeting room set up classroom style for Saturday $100.00 If no more than 30 persons at one time, otherwise a larger room would be required with additional cost. My personal guarantee is required for 85% unless you guys decide quickly on your choice and then call in with reservations in the next 10 days for at least 25 rooms Giving your credit card number to charge the first night. I think you all would prefer the Doubletree. The restaurant is excellent, and they have a champagne brunch on Sunday morning that the locals love. The ambiance of the bar is what I think you all would prefer also. The style is Spanish Colonial and is directly across the street from North Star Mall, a long time favorite of local shoppers. Both are 3 min from the airport and 15 minutes to the Riverwalk downtown. The above rates are by special arrangement, so please do not call yet until everyone has agreed and we know we can meet the 25 room plus guarantee.
