Alomex, re: In fact if I was microsoft, I'd start porting NT 5.0 to PowerPCs ASAP, to hedge my bets. Microsoft is supporting 64 bit Windows NT on Alpha to hedge its bets. Alpha will take up the Merced slack. In fact, if you are a true Apple fan, and you expect the PowerPC to be powerful enough to be a differentiating product, you certainly would hope that MS would not port NT to the PowerPC. In such a case, Apple would loose its leverage in selling OS X. What you should hope for is application support (such as MS Office) from MS for OS X. Pravin.
