I would expect CPQ to drive a 64 bit strategy not a Merced strategy. They have the ability to drive enough Alpha volume to make the chip viable in its own right. I agree that CPQ will also have a strong Merced story but they will be one of many with Merced, where they can have a number of distinctive advantages with Alpha. I don't know exactly where it will all fall out but I would expect Alpha to have a larger rather than smaller role under CPQ.
