(Merced delay - why?, 100s of cheap stocks, avoid expert opinions)

Tony:

Thanks. It sure would be interesting to see why Merced was delayed. I do agree with the sentiment that this is a big product intro. and delays are normal but I also agree with the sentiment that pushing it out means the stock price should reflect this push out by coming down - to what level I really do not know. What should be the clincher would be an INTC warning of an earnings disappointment or some such announcement. That would be the one-two punch and knock the weak hands (and the fake institutional investors) out of the stock. At that point the SOX is in for a rally.

In the interim it is all bounces - having said that it would not hurt to average in any of 100s of stocks at this point. Right now things are ridiculous.

What amuses me is that for the most part the declines on these 100s of stocks are all on low volume - if I really got serious and did some FA, I bet I could likely guarantee with 5-10 picks returns of well over 200%+ over the next 2 years with floors of 0% over that time (no loss).

Sometimes in the markets things get ridiculous - that is where we are right now. As usual the market is showing how idiotic and irrational it can occassionally be.

Anyway I'm enjoying the weather in these parts these days.

Warning to others: Do yourselves a favor and DON'T read the WSJ, Barron's or any other financial news publications in the next few weeks, DON'T watch Bloomberg, Wall Street Week; DON'T listen to experts, attend conferences etc etc - like consensus opinions at an approaching low point they will be filled with irrational fear saying (as Briefing implies) to NEVER buy entire sectors again and thereby cause you to sell at precisely the wrong times to try and move into the higher priced sectors... Morons and Dopes they will always be...(JMHO)

Shane.
