Harry- re: "Which companies do you think will benefit the most?"

I have to admit my near complete ignorance on this subject. Thus, my ability to evaluate "which companies will benefit the most" is still severely limited. At this stage, I am trying to educate myself.

It appears that the networking, cable and computer telephony sectors would stand to benefit the most. Cisco is obviously a leader in the networking sector. However, my conscience struggles with buying a company which IMHO has such a high valuation. To me, Cisco and many other "data pipe" companies do not provide a sufficient margin of safety to qualify as an investments.

As my learning increases, I will be looking for companies that are market leaders with proven track records which are also reasonably (under)priced.

Speaking of which, Intel's increased activity in the home and small business networking equipment front could become a significant revenue generator. Intel's phenomenal market penetration at the sending and receiving end should help leverage them into this market. Of course higher performance CPU's will also be more in demand as a result of richer data streams being sent and received.

I've been trying to research the companies that Intel invests in and/or announces alliances with. There are some interesting stories to be found there.

I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on the subject.

My regards,
