I agree with what u say, but you are mischaracterizing my position ---- there is a huge difference between democratic regulation for the good (or presumed good) of society, and crony capitalism, where the economy is not "regulated" but "ordered" for the benefit of a few.... for example the US has elaborate controls of the workplace enviroment to ensure safety and a level playing field so competition cannot cause co's to skimp on safety, in South Korea, and throughout SEA there is little or none. Similarly there are limits as to how loans are made in our economy as experience has proven that banks cannot regulate themselves, yet throughout SEA there are none... and "crony lending" is the bedrock of "Crony Capitalism," and in the same way that Ronnie's deregulation of the S&Ls led to the corruption of that industry, lack of regulation of the banking industry in SEA is about to cause those economies to collapse - interference in the market to further inequality, is rather different from regulation ensure a little.
