Good post. CNBC is a pumper and dumper itself too! And a big one. Do you remember Mr. Dorfman? Maaannn, what a scam artist he was. If you buy anything on CNBC recommendation, be ready to dump it the next day. Better yet, just not touch it IMO. If I hold a stock CNBC makes news of, I'd sell it. Perfect contrarian signal. There has been a power shift from TV to Internet and it will only accelerate by time. TV people started to get nerveous consciously or sub-consciously. That may also explain the motive behind their questioning Web based operations.
