This is what I think - If the preferred shareholders don't convert - the company goes into bankruptcy and a fire sale takes place where the preferred holders get 5 cents on the dollar (Who knows - is my point). Also, remember all of these preferred shareholders also hold substantial common holdings. So, if the co. goes bankrupt they lose their common holdings. If they convert, (which is my theory what is going on), they become very attractive for a takeover. Somebody with deep pockets could discover a gold mine here - the technology is very good.
