Marie, even Borland then had its rallies, only to falter again ... this might be the last chance for those that bought Intuit in the 50's and up to bail out and cut their loses ... Intuit is probably benefiting from COMDEX, but then, technology and profitability are 2 entirely different things ...

At some point, the writing on the wall will even be more visibile and we'll all be saying, gee how come I missed that .. it was so obvious ....

About Borland, the last time I shorted it was in the 20's when it run-up because of Internet hype ... just covered recently ... and all the while there was always some talk about Borland being acquired ... but in business, acquisitions should benefit the buyer first ...

I guess some Intuit fans still remember Microsoft's failed $1 billion plus bid ... they're using this as a benchmark ... but that price represented to Microsoft the value of Quicken as a Microsoft monopoly ... for a another company, it's value should probably be significantly less ...

I'm about to short my next lot tomorrow ...
