PowerQuest has a new product coming out in June called Guardian Angel. PowerQuest is the same company that sells Drive Image and Partition Magic. According to an add in the June 30, 1998 edition of PC Magazine it allows you to: "Install new software or change configurations with the assurance that if problems arise, you can restore the original settings immediately or wait to restore them after further testing." To get more information on Guardian Angel go to powerquest.com click on search and enter Guardian Angel in the Query Box. PowerQuest has not yet included Guardian Angel in their product list.

If Guardian Angel lives up to its advertising claims it could help you in your experimentation Zeuspaul. However, Guardian Angel is only designed to work with Win 95 and 98. Other claims are:

"Guardian Angel provides an intelligent safety net for all system owners installing new applications on their PC. Whenever a new application is added to the system, Guardian Angel will notify the user if possible conflicts with other applications or configuration changes may occur. Guardian Angel will also create a system bookmark, allowing the user to test the new application, and later undo the installation if it does cause problems."
