Jen, <<what I see is the wide swings intraday that one can make a few dollars on almost everyday>> The problem with your a few dollars a day approach is that it requires perfect timing and perfect execution every time. You'll probably find you make a number of successful trades, then one mistake that eats all the profit from the successful trades. Personally, I find that more often than not the best trade is no trade, in other words, waiting patiently for the best opportunity rather than trying to play every day when there is no definable advantage.
