The thread has been quiet for a bit, everyone is negative on Thailand/Asia and volumes in the Thai market has fallen almost every day for the last two months. It feels like December/January time.

I think we might see a bounce in the market in the next week or so and I think a basket of Thai Stocks (eg TFB, BBL, PTTEP, NFS, PHATRA) etc could move up quite sharply. I am thinking of dribbling some money into the market this week

This view relies on the Yen not going to 150 and the RMB+HKD not devaluing.

Incidentally, I have just come back from a HK holiday. I noted the following.

- All luxury goods shops empty almost without exception.
- All "cheap" places (Cafe de Coral, Wellcome etc) full to bursting. Buy Cafe de Coral and Dairy Farm?
- Rents still at stupid levels and owners refuse to lower them. They would rather see the flat empty that drop the rent 20%.
