Christopher,
I've read the entire Sprint press release on its new ION network architecture, and associated systems. If this is the reason PAIR is down, I would be very surprised. The (Sprint) news is a blatantly over-hyped ad campaign, giving a fancy new name to a group of service offerings and associated technologies, along with calculated name-dropping of existing technologies (ATM) and a lot of hype about new bandwidth capabilities in the next 2 years (which any carrier with a fiber network can duplicate by upgrading to new muxers).
If, in fact, this is the reason PAIR is down, I'll be jumping on it in a big way. However, I'm of the opinion that there could be some genuine bad news out there, so, until the real reason is revealed, its probably prudent to do nothing.
