Q Data is affiliated with Printrak. I am guessing that the other remaining bidder (which includes NEC) is associated with IDX, but this is only a reasonable guess. I don't know who the discontented losers are intending to use for livescan.

J., Good work. Let us know your sources if you can. I think London is outside the Consortium, which would even things up a bit. It's my understanding that TRW is the integrator, not the livescan provider. It looks like the Home Office is paying for the national AFIS integration, but not the tenprint machines -- but it's hard to know for sure from this distance. There has to be some advantage accruing to DBII for winning the OEM to TRW, though.

All our wonderful speculations and research has not done anything for the stock in the past couple of days. That's OK. But we need significant contract news or earnings surprises out of IDX. Where, for instance, are the announcements on the two slipped deals from last quarter? We are already almost through the following quarter.
