To all for your comments....Todays WSJ article, front page, "The Old System Is Facing Overload, So Sprint Has a Plan...A$200 'Meter' to Track Usage"

Pertinent paragraph "....Sprint calls its system the 'Integrated On-Demand Network' or ION. The system would measure and bill for service based not on the number of minutes a person spends on the phone but on the number of digital bits the customer transmits in a given month. Usage would be measured by a little box that acts like an electric meter and is placed in a home or office."

Call me crazy but this sounds suspiciously like a "Wavemeter" like instrument. Any of you technical folks out there think the same? As for you legal types, how broad are the patents that Wave has and would they cover a use such as this? This is pure speculation on my part but I just couldn't help but wonder aloud to the folks at SI.

Let me know what you think. I'm going to look into it.
