I think what I meant was you would have been better off long term to buy Jan 40 or even Jan 30 instead of Jan 50.

If NSCP closes at around 50 in Jan you will be left with notting
other than the memory, but if you had Jan 30 you sure will have
a chance to have the stock, and you pay alot less that 2.5 premium
that you have paid now! All this is assuming that you are buying the
option in serious volume.

Becareful with options, and if you are new to this buy well into
money options.
