James I ran some more scans on the S&P 500.

30 Days ago 415 were above the 200 DMA
20 Days ago 387 were above the 200 DMA
15 Days ago 378 were above the 200 DMA
10 Days ago 375 were above the 200 DMA
5 Days ago 362 were above the 200 DMA
Yesterday 341 were above the 200 DMA

FWIW.

After re-reading your post I see that you said this guy was talking about "the average AMOUNT" of stocks that were above or below their 200 DMA. What I am giving you here is the TOTAL number above their 200 DMA. We may have a different analysis going here than what he was using.
