I must say that when a stock's trend turns down, it attracts shorts by the droves and they then look for sell signals using oscillators and key resistance levels to short at. I know, because that's what I do and I think a lot of other do the same thing. Look for wounded stocks whose weak technicals can be exploited. Short sellers are like jackals, looking for weakened prey. The result of this is tremendous fear on the part of longs which drives prices way below fair value.
