[ ICOS: OBV vs. Accumulation/Distribution ]

Ray,

When you have two indicators that similarly track accumulation on an issue, but end up having two opposing signals, which do you choose as being more accurate in assessing the demand for the issue? The example I had in mind is on our good ol' friend ICOS; on the Accum/Dist. indicator, since the first run-up resulted in a lower close than the open, the indicator ticked down, while the OBV counted it as an uptick because the close was higher than the previous day's close.

I believe this question has probably been addressed by many technicians, and this time I ask it to you: which read do you choose, and why?

Regards,

Rainier
