Asia is hurting the stock price, but it is not directly hurting business, the company says. The stock price gets pressured several ways. One is the guilt by association with the sector. Another is by the margin calls generated by falling stock prices. The company is not currently getting credit for its earnings. But the earnings still contribute the future by funding R&D and paying off the small amount of long term debt remaining. Maybe competitors with Asia problems will have to trim R&D and REAL can end up with more competitive products. That would be an example of Asia problems affecting REAL positively. One semi-equipment stock finally bounced today (CRPB).
