I certainly don't think that MM's are the fiends they are made out to be, but why would a stock like lgov spike from around 30 cents to around 70 cents and back in a few days on no news other than SI, Yahoo, and other threads. I really don't think the people that post on these threads can move the stock price that much unless the MM's are in on the scam.
Also review aeng. The stock price moved from around $12 to around $30 and back in a few days. I cannot believe there are enough people that could get into a buying frenzy, with no "new" news, unless based on the same threads, that can move the price that much, without the MM's plants.
The more time I spend on SI, the more I believe that the majority of the positive posters, especially on the OTC:BB threads are paid to do so, or are friends of the "head cheer leaders".
If a stock is a bow-wow, how does it get to the level that it draws attention to the shorts, unless someone has hyped it?
I am constantly getting flamed, on any OTC:BB thread that I visit, if I ask questions. I am told repeatedly, visit the website, read all of the posts on the thread, other people have done your DD, send in your check. Then I begin my own research, and I cannot find anything on the company, even on the research links posted by the "regulars.
( I can frequently find info on insidertrader.com, but they always discount the info as "nothing to be concerned with, Joe Blow needed a new home and wasn't being paid enough salary so he had to sell a few shares to make the down payment.)
And if you ask questions, it's "WE HAVE DONE OUR RESEARCH, YOU DO YOUR'S"
Janice, I believe someone else has to be in on the scam. If not the Market Makers then who?
