Steve,

Although I believe that I was one of the first to suggest that NEC might buy NSM, I don't think that their intention to build SOC is any indication. Everyone that has a core of any type will be making SOC before long. NEC's risc core could be the basis for a wonderful low power SOC that could be used in all kinds of info appliances. Just my opinion.
