I think I have figured out the recent weakness on our friend,AXC. Every May 31 the Russell 2000 is reconstituted. It's done by market cap and the 2000 from highest to lowest makes up the index. Last year the smallest market cap was 171 million; so if the same Ampex drops off and index funds that mirror the Russell must sell and reconstitute. russell.com
