It all depends on the situation. Ruger 30.06 is great for deer, buffalo, elephants and really ugly people that you don't want to see up close. Glock model 21 and 12 Ga. is good if you aren't particular about the aim but nothing beats the good 'ol reliable accurate non-jamming colt .357 revolver.
