Junnie:
Have you tried looking in all those folders with the converted data, the folders from A to Z, using My Computer or Windows Explorer in Win 95, and then dragging and dropping the symbols into one new folder?
If you can't tell which symbol is which, just drag everything into the new directory. Then in Wow, delete the stocks you don't want.
First use My Computer or Explorer in Windows 95 to create a new folder in your main Wow folder (or anywhere else, if you prefer). Now find the folders A to Z and drag and drop the symbols from those into the new folder (or, if you like, copy and paste). Now open Wow, click on Charts and then New Chart, then click on Dir (Directories). Search for the new directory you created. All the symbols should be in it.
Then go back to the main Wow menu, click on Securities, then Maintenance, and delete the symbols you don't want.
This is one way you could create a folder with the portfolio you want. Then you can easily scan just that directory.
I wonder why your data converter insists on dumping all the symbols into the folders A through Z, but that's another issue. Whatever it's doing, it's easy to create new folders of portfolios without even using Wow. As long as the data is converted to the Metastock format, Wow can read it. You can move the symbols into any folders you like.
With Quotes Plus, btw, you can output any symbols you want to any directories you want, in Metastock format. What data provider are you using?
