It also shed some sorely needed positive lights on coms which I am holding.

I'm glad you reposted to the COMS thread. There are some powerful synergies between the two companies, and if you read closely, TM alludes to "reaching all the way to the desktop." I'm guessing this is why Alan Lutz has been brought on board. Or one of the reasons.
