Steve, Thread, I think CPQ will buy Systems Integrated Business Unit before they would buy NOVL. Unless, they ADD a Systems Integrated Business Unit within the NOVL umbrella. Then you add some critical mass to NOVL's business, which they need.

Big concerns about NOVL--Who is getting market share? Where are the new products? Are Novell's products feature content competive? Paying too much for a brand name. Can someone on thread give me reasons why NOVL sales are dramatically down? This is needed.

Keep Pfeiffer's objective in mind though, 40bln by 2000. Three ways to do this 1)grow internally 2)acquisitions 3)combination of 1 and 2
