Jim, the percentage of stocks on the New York Stock Exchange
that are above their 200 day moving averages.

during the correction in April 1997 you can see that this percentage held the 50% level before launching a Nuclear rally. We are at the fifty percent level today

the last column is oex divided by spx, which shows when one
average is stronger than the other

it used to be fun following this ratio intraday on CNBC before
they split the OEX

now you have to multiply the OEX net change by two and then compare it to the SPX net change to see which one is stronger
that day
