June 3, 1998 09:02 AM

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 3, 1998--Faroudja Inc. FDJA Wednesday announced that it has received an order for its
recently introduced FLI 2000 NTSC/PAL Video Decoder and Signal Processor chips with Time Base Correction from one of the world's
leading
manufacturers of digital video projectors, Digital Projection Ltd. of Manchester, England.

Digital Projection produces a range of super-high-quality, high-brightness digital video projectors, called POWER Displays, for large screen
reproduction of video and computer images. At the core of Digital Projection's technology is Digital Light Processing (DLP) from Texas
Instruments. POWER Displays feature more than 1 billion colors in their reproducible spectrum, resulting in unparalleled images.

The FLI 2000 chip integrates the complete Faroudja patented decoding path to provide sharper video signals for large-display projector
systems, large-screen televisions and PC graphics and video boards.

The FLI 2000 chip combines the updated technologies of three previously designed Faroudja chips into one highly integrated, mixed-signal chip
that contains more than 1.2 million transistors, equivalent to more than 300,000 logic gates.

Michael J. Moone, president and CEO of Faroudja, noted: "Digital Projection's products are an excellent platform for Faroudja technology. We
believe that the FLI 2000 chip technology enables our customers to produce 'best in class' products. We're extremely pleased that this
industry-leading manufacturer has recognized the value that Faroudja technology brings to products around the world."

Faroudja's growing number of consumer and commercial products are designed to bring HDTV-quality images to the digital broadcast, display,
