I'm not a TRW expert, and it does seem like they have been inept, so far, in their biometric projects. That said, however, they have taken over BDM, an IT company, and put its CEO in charge of the new TRW IT division -- which is now one quarter of TRW. This new guy is clearly interested in acquisitions, including fingerprint biometrics. Whether TRW screws biometrics up after possibly acquiring IDX is pretty irrelevant for our purposes. I hope there isn't a takeover. The best defense against this concern is a much healthier stock price. I don't think TRW, in particular, would try to buy IDX if its stock were at a high price. But right now the stock is at rock bottom.
