LAKELAND, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 3, 1998--EMC Group Inc.
(OTC BB:EMCB) announced Wednesday that it is planning the U.S.
expansion of at least 150 "Treats" stores.
The company's objective is to grow at a rate of 20-40 stores
annually. Based on demographics, the market potential in the U.S.
alone is over 2,000 stores.
Entrepreneur magazine for five years in a row has ranked Treats
as North America's No. 1 franchise chain in its industry category.
EMCB owns the national marketing franchise on the Treats system in the
USA. Treats is a retail specialty bakery concept that offers the
customer fresh 'Hot from the oven' baked Muffins, Cookies, Cinnamon
Swirls, Brownies, Crumbles and other similar high quality baked
products. In addition Treats offers a select range of Gourmet
Coffee's.
