Gary, you have their special software, so maybe the rules are different for that. I also use web broker through the web and what Dick says is true. I have bought ONLY penny stocks, and have had no problems.

I have bought three blocks of 5000 shares of issues to avoid the huge commissions, preferring to 1) jump in slowly and 2) pay only 12 bucks a crack. Their sight has been down a little more than I would like, and I'm to lazy to call a broker at the 12 buck rate, so I have missed some opportunities.

I would call Waterhouse and see if your account is the exact same as ebroker. Go to:

waterhouse.com

and go to the bottom of the screen at the far right and click on the web broker icon and see if your account number and password works there.
