re. TXN, I'm very optimistic that there is very little downside risk and that there is relatively good upside potential. I would NEVER do this with, for example Dell. But I'm a bit player. My wife thinks it's all legal gambling (it really is, isn't it?) I suspect that within reason, the time factor is probably more important in terms of managing risk - than whether it's an in, at, our out of money call - & gives you time to deal with unanticipated fluctuations.

My one experience with a short term option (3 months out) wasn't good. Frankly, I have only myself to blame (I panicked). Doubt I will ever do it again.
