Private Placement Date: Mon, 01 Jun 1998 Ballad is pleased to announce that it has agreed to a private placement of its securities consisting of the sale of 900,000 units at $0.375 per unit for gross proceeds of $337,500. Each unit will consist of one common share and one two-year non-transferable share purchase warrant entitling the holder to purchase one additional common share of Ballad for $0.375 during the first year and for $0.43 thereafter. The proceeds of the private placement will be used for general corporate purposes. A finder's fee will be payable in cash in connection with the private placement.
