Judy,

TLAB still remains on my investment list. I did not think they would
do another acquistion so soon. The size of the acquisition is
staggering too. I won't be looking at TLAB till it falls
below 58 1/2 though. I am looking for an entry point somewhere
below that. The general impression without hearing the
conference call is the TLAB's paid a fair price for CIEN.
The two mergers should hurt earnings for the next 2 or 3
Q's. It does change the type of company TLAB is too. They now
have international exposure (Coherent) and they are entering a field
with lots of competition coming on line latter this year (CIEN).
I still have lot of respect for management though. Hopefully,
they can handle the transition smoothly.
